About Us
Jim & Debbie Roofener started Hillsboro Pump Service in April 1978, repairing well pumps. In 1990 they bought their store, HPS Pipe & Supply, in Cornelius, Oregon. They started selling irrigation and pump parts as well as pump repair and motor rewind. Jim began taking on bigger jobs such as excavation, large pipelines, cat work, etc. In 1997 HPS Pipe & Supply incorporated into two separate businesses. HPS Construction, Inc. was formed and began doing all the larger jobs. HPS Construction now has 3 dump trucks and a wide variety of equipment that they use for everything from digging and laying pipelines to digging out foundations for homes. They also contract cellular phone towers. In October 2000 HPS Construction decided to expand and began Oak Acres Nursery, a wholesale plant farm. Today, the three companies work together to provide their customers with the same kind of service Jim has provided for over 24 years.
